StrataLight is addressing an ever growing market demand for larger bandwidth. Convergence of all telecommunications applications over IP, including bandwidth demanding Video over IP, means that service providers must scale their IP networks considerably over the coming years to support this new demand. In response to this requirement, router vendors have developed new Terabit IP routers with interfaces at OC-768 speed for optimum IP efficiency. Long/ultra long haul, regional, and metro 40 Gbps DWDM networks must be deployed to support these new capacity demands. Our optical technology can be retrofitted into existing 10 Gbps DWDM systems, without any change to existing fiber, amplifiers, optical filters, or other network infrastructure, quadrupling remaining capacity or used to maximize capacity on Greenfield deployments.
